<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printing system that is user-friendlier in terms of the input of character strings and the like to be printed. <P>SOLUTION: The tape printing system, which prints a print image on tape to form a label, has an encoding means for converting input data or stored data that can be data to be printed into code information about a one-dimensional or two-dimensional code, and a printing means for printing a print image of the converted code information on tape.
