PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of surely alleviating a bloodshot eyes phenomenon at photographing a person using flash emission, without being affected by automatic adjustment for the one, such as white balance and chroma. SOLUTION: An image pick-up means 30 photographs an object image irradiated with flash emission. A processing means 16 performs image processings on the image photographed by the imaging means 30, to generate a first and a second images different in white balance or colors, respectively. From the first image, a detection means 42 detects red-eye regions generated at the object image of the first image according to flash emission.
