<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of under-runs in network devices adopting the cut-through system. <P>SOLUTION: The data transmitter related to the working example 1 acquires a total payload amount included in packets during reception at present by referring to a header at the head of the packets (refer to (1) in Fig. 1). Successively, the data transmitter-receiver calculates a DMA start payload amount on the basis of the acquired total payload amount, a packet reception rate at a reception port, and a packet transmission rate at a transmission port (refer to (2) in Fig. 1). Concretely, the data transmitter-receiver multiplies a ratio of a value obtained by subtracting the packet reception rate from the packet transmission rate to the packet transmission rate with the total payload amount so as to calculate the DMA start payload amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
