<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently selecting a candidate gateway for handover in a multihop wireless access network. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a step for determining for a plurality of candidate gateways which are candidates for a handover of a mobile node the change of a network metrics from a first moment in time to a second moment in time, the network metrics being indicative of a property of the connection between the mobile node and a respective candidate gateway, and a step for selecting the gateway to which a handover is performed based on the respective changes of the metrics of the gateway from the first moment in time to the second moment in time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
