PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the coolability of a polyphase stator coil by making the cooling air discharged from a centrifugal fan collide with a connection. SOLUTION: This alternator for vehicle has a rotor where N poles and S poles are made in its rotational direction, a stator core 15 which surrounds this rotor, and a multiplephase stator winding wire 32, which extends in the axial direction of this stator core 15 and are installed in the slots 15a being made in plural numbers, at specified pitches in its circumferential direction. The respective radial connections 32a and 32b are provided being shifted in the circumferential direction of the connections 32a and 32b, and the connections 32a and 32b overlap the centrifugal fan fixed to the end face of the rotor 7.
