PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an OFDM demodulator from operating according to wrong TMCC information. SOLUTION: A demodulating part detects a TMCC signal included in an input signal by demodulating the input signal which is modulated according to an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing by a predetermined demodulating method. A synchronization signal detecting part detects a synchronization signal in the TMCC signal. A decoding part decodes the TMCC information in the TMCC signal. A determining part calculates the number of erroneous bits of the synchronization signal and judges the decoding of the TMCC information in the TMCC signal as possible when the number of erroneous bits is smaller than a threshold. A storing part stores the TMCC information which is used for setting an operation mode. A storage control part updates the TMCC information to be stored in the storing part to the TMCC information decoded by the decoding part only when the decoding of the TMCC information in the TMCC signal is determined as possible by the determining part.
