PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus for receiving sub broadcasting when the sub broadcasting is started without reinputting an instruction for selecting the sub broadcasting when the sub broadcasting is not broadcasted and main broadcasting is received instead of the sub broadcasting. SOLUTION: When the sub broadcasting is not receivable and the main broadcasting is received by a receiving means instead of the sub broadcasting, the reception of the sub broadcasting is programmed. If the sub broadcasting becomes receivable when the sub broadcasting is programmed, the receiving means automatically receives the programmed sub broadcasting instead of the main broadcasting. Thereby, the sub broadcasting can be received without inputting repeatedly instruction for selecting the sub broadcasting when the reception of the sub broadcasting is started, so that user's operation can be simplified.
