PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirrer which has a short propagation route of a sonic wave and is capable of enhancing the stirring efficiency of a liquid by suppressing the attenuation of the sonic wave accompanied by propagation, and an analyzer. SOLUTION: The stirrer is equipped with a container for holding a liquid being a stirring target and a surface acoustic wave element for irradiating a liquid with the sonic wave and stirring the liquid by the sonic wave. The analyzer is provided with this stirrer. The surface acoustic wave element 22 of the stirrer 20 has a piezoelectric substrate 22a and the sounding part 22b provided on the piezoelectric substrate to be arranged outside the container 7 adjacent to the liquid through the container and the piezoelectric substrate to produce the sonic wave for stirring the liquid. The surface roughness of the sound transmitting surface of each of the container and the piezoelectric substrate is smaller than the wavelength of the sound wave produced in the sounding part.
