PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an index table capable of stopping at multi-position by using fluid pressure as a driving source. SOLUTION: This index table is provided with a piston (rack piston) having a rack tooth reciprocated by the fluid pressure, a pinion meshed and rotated with the rack piston, an index action cam clutch having an outer ring fixed in the inside of the pinion, a revolving shaft fixed by an index action cam clutch inner ring, a table fixed on an upper surface of the revolving shaft, and a cam clutch having a mechanism same with the index action cam clutch in order to prevent reverse rotation of the revolving shaft. A block is provided on the table for each indexing stop angle, and a stopper mechanism for stopping the block is disposed in a casing. When an elevating and lowering device is installed, a piston hole is machined in the casing, and a cylinder mechanism for elevating and lowering the whole of the index table is provided.
