PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a full toroidal type continuously variable transmission of which action is stable without adopting a complicated structure. SOLUTION: An oil chamber for applying push-pull force to both disks are provided for a roller. A housing 44 of a first pressure reducing valve 27 forms a first port 41 connected with the oil chamber, a second port 42 connected with a hydraulic pump 29 and a functioning third port 43 connected with an oil tank 39. The second and third ports 42, 43 function as orifices. A spool 45 communicates the first port 41 with either the second or third ports 42, 43 according to axial position and adjusts its degree of opening. The second and third ports 42, 43 are long and flat in axial direction relative to a circumference direction of the housing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
