摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify compression ratio adjusting work for eliminating variations of compression ratios among cylinders and improve its efficiency. SOLUTION: An auxiliary shaft 50 is connected to one of links connecting crank pins of a crank shaft and pistons of the respective cylinders through an auxiliary link. The auxiliary shaft 50 is constructed to be divided in a plurality of shaft split members 51 which include auxiliary journal parts 53 for swingably supporting an end of the auxiliary link. A piston top center position of each cylinder is measured in a temporary assembly state, and based on a result of this measurement, an suitable shaft split member is selected among the several kings of shaft split members 51 which are different in the positional relationship of the auxiliary journal part 53 and is changed and assembled.
