PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable variations in the performance or the characteristics of a part to be compensated by accurately controlling the actuator of a brake device even when the part of the BBW type brake device has been replaced. SOLUTION: The part which constitutes this BBW type brake device (e.g., a brake pad 41 of the disk brake device) is provided with an IC tag 42 which stores the information of the performance or the characteristics or the like accompanying the brake pad 41. Therefore, reading the information by a tag reader 43 and inputting the information in an electronic control unit U make the electronic control unit U change the control of a braking force generating means of the BBW type brake device based on the information. Thus, even if the performance or the characteristics of the part are changed by the replacement, the variation of the braking characteristics can be prevented from occurring by accurately performing the control of the braking force generating means in response to the variation.
