PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and quickly judging bottom beer yeast. SOLUTION: This method for judging the bottom beer yeast comprises detecting whether a DNA fragment or base sequence specific to the bottom beer yeast exists or not in a promoter region of Lg-FLO1 gene in a yeast genome, especially a region of upstream 1 bp to upstream 2,000 bp of a translation start point.
