<p>A device and a method for inputting a password with a touch pad are provided to enhance security for inputting the password to various types of digital devices by discriminating input of the valid password based on numbers, which are recognized and combined from counts of points touched by a user through the touch pad. A detector respectively detects the points touched by the user through the touch pad(20) at the same time. A discriminator discriminates the input of the valid password by counting the number of detected points, recognizing the count as the number base, and combining the recognized numbers. A cover prevents a touch state of the user from being exposed to the outside. An inserting hole receives a hand of the user into the cover. If the user drags the touch point, the discriminator discriminates an addition, cancellation, or enter key of the numbers by detecting and analyzing a drag pattern.</p> |
