An LCD device is provided to stabilize brightness by setting a selection pattern, which not overlaps selection intervals for image and non-image signal writes on liquid crystal pixels of respective columns. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes plural liquid crystal pixels(PX), a vertical driver(YD), a horizontal driver(XD) and a controller(5). The liquid crystal pixels are disposed in a matrix type. The vertical driver selects columns of the liquid crystal pixels for image and non-image signal writes. The horizontal driver writes image and non-image signals to respective columns of the liquid crystal pixels for image and non-image signal writes, respectively. The controller controls an operation timing of the vertical and horizontal drivers so as to sequentially perform the image and non-image signal writes during respective vertical scan intervals for every column, respectively.
