<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent freezing of water in a water-cooling heat exchanger in a heat pump water heater comprising the water-cooling heat exchanger for cooling the water flowing into a water-heating heat exchanger for heating the water by performing heat exchange between a coolant and water, by a heat exchanger with the coolant in advance. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump hot-water supply device includes: a coolant temperature sensor 13 detecting a temperature of the coolant discharged from the water-heating heat exchanger 3; and the water-cooling heat exchanger 5 performing heat exchange between the coolant flowing from an expansion device 15 toward a compressor 11 and water supplied from a hot-water tank 4. According to the temperature of the coolant detected by the coolant temperature sensor 13, a flow rate of the coolant into the water-cooling heat exchanger 5 is adjusted.
