<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin-made container with a square overcap which is safely and reliably used so as to reliably achieve the undercut coupling of the square overcap with a container body. <P>SOLUTION: In the synthetic resin-made container in which the square overcap is fitted to a shoulder of a closed-end cylindrical container body with a mouth cylindrical part erected on a barrel via the shoulder, a polygonal square peripheral wall is formed on the shoulder of the container body, the overcap has a square outer peripheral wall with its lower end housed on the square peripheral wall, a fitting part housed on the mouth cylindrical part for undercut coupling is hung in a diameter-expanding and elastically deforming manner, and the outer peripheral wall is partially connected to the fitting part.
