<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit a wavelength conversion member to be flat so that a clearance does not occur between a support of a reflection member and the wavelength conversion member, and to prevent leakage of light emitted from a light emitting element from the clearance. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device includes a substrate 1 having a loader 1a where the light emitting element 3 is loaded on an upper main face, the light emitting element 3 loaded on the loader 1a, a reflection member 2 arranged on the upper main face of the substrate 1 so that it surrounds the light emitting element 3, and the wavelength conversion member 5 disposed on the light emitting element 3. The support 2b for supporting the wavelength conversion member 5 through adhesive 6 is installed on the inner peripheral face 2a of the reflection member 2. Recesses 2c to which adhesive 6 enters are formed on the upper face of the support 2b. The wavelength conversion member 5 is closely stuck to the reflection member 2 with the recesses 2c so as to rigidly bond them. Light output and emission efficiency of the light emitting device can be improved, and color dispersion and color phase irregularity of the light emitting device can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
