PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex controller and a duplex control method for easily switching duplex even when an information processor operating as an operational system is put in an uncontrollable status. SOLUTION: Servers 1a and 1b are connected through communication equipment 2a and 2b to a network. A control equipment 3 controls the switching of the connection/disconnection of communication in the communication equipment 2a and 2b. When the abnormality of the server 1a operating as a current system is detected, the server 1b operating as a standby system requests the disconnection of communication of the communication equipment 2a to the control equipment 3. When the communication of the communication equipment 2a is disconnected, the server 1a is separated from a network.
