PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type screen and a projection type display in which scintillation is reduced while resolution and brightness are satisfactorily maintained and, in addition, flatness is maintained without causing warpage or deformation even in a high temperature/high humidity environment or low temperature environment. SOLUTION: A third diffusion layer 11 is provided to a Fresnel lens sheet 10, and a first diffusion layer 31 and a second diffusion layer 32 are provided to a light diffusion lens array sheet 30. The degree of diffusion of the first diffusion layer 31 is greater than those of the other diffusion layers of the lenticular lens sheet 30 and that of the first diffusion layer 11. A diffractive index difference between the light diffusion material and light diffusion base material of each diffusion layer of the lenticular lens sheet 30 is smaller than that of the third diffusion layer 11 of the Fresnel lens sheet 10.
