PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact reflective display device with which a black display is simply performed even when colorizing of a display surface is intended, and which is consequently excellent in display quality, and an electrical apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The reflective display device 1 is provided with: a porous layer 8 colored with a predetermined color; a reservoir layer 10 disposed on the side opposite to the display surface side of the porous layer 8 and storing a transparent liquid 11; an upper electrode 15 (a visible ray absorbing section) for absorbing visible rays contained in the external light when the porous layer 8 is filled with the transparent liquid 11; and a piezoelectric element 14 (a driving section) for changing a display color to be displayed on the display surface by increasing or decreasing penetration of the transparent liquid 11 in the porous layer 8.
