PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus configured to stably convey a recording medium by prescribing a path for the recording medium from a position near a fixing operation member. SOLUTION: A fixing device 60 comprises a fixing belt module 61 provided with a fixing belt 610 and a pressure roll 62 disposed in press contact with the fixing belt module 61. A nip part N is formed between the fixing belt module 61 and the pressure roll 62, and a paper ejection guide 70 is disposed at an exit of the nip part N. The paper ejection guide 70 has a baffle plate 71 and a lower face guide plate 72 disposed vertically in parallel and has a peeled paper ejection path 70A, which is a movement path for a recording paper P subjected to fixing operation, formed therebetween. The baffle plate 71 is made of invar alloy having a linear thermal expansion coefficient of≤6×10<SP>-6</SP>/K and is provided so that its front end is close to the fixing belt 610 as much as possible.
