PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device capable of changing surfaces for inputting power supply and a video signal in accordance with installation circumstances. SOLUTION: The projection type display device is equipped with interface parts 10c and 10e on the rear surface 2c and side surface 2e of a housing 2. The respective interface parts 10c and 10e are equipped with: a video terminal group 14 comprising three video terminals such as a mini D-Sub 15 pin terminal 11 for inputting the video signal from a PC (personal computer) or the like, an S terminal 12 for inputting the video signal from various video reproducing devices or the like, and a composite video terminal 13 for inputting the video signal from the video reproducing devices or the like similarly; and a power supply terminal 15 for inputting the power supply. The video signal is supplied to the respective video terminal groups 14 from the PC and the video reproducing device or the like through a signal cable (not shown in a figure), and power from a commercial power supply converted into DC power by an AC adapter (not shown in a figure) is supplied to the power supply terminal 15 through a power supply cable.
