PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optical scanning by a stable beam spot diameter by reducing variation of the beam spot diameter due to temperature variation in an optical scanning device using a diffraction face. SOLUTION: The optical scanning device includes: a light source part 1 having a plurality of light emitting parts; a first optical element for guiding the optical beam from the light emitting part to an optical deflector 5; and a second optical element 6 for optically scanning a face to be scanned 8 by condensing a plurality of optical beams deflected by the optical deflector 5 and forming optical spots on the face to be scanned 8. The first optical element is a diffractive optical element 4 of which at least a face is a diffraction face. In a plane including an optical axis of the diffractive optical element 4, when an incident angle to a face parallel to a rotation direction of the optical deflector 5 is defined as the incident angle of the plurality of the optical beams to the diffractive optical element 4, the incident angle of any optical beam is 5 degrees or less.
