PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display driving device reducing the waste of power consumption in gray-scale amplifiers, thereby reducing the power consumption, and to provide a display device. SOLUTION: In a gray scale reference voltage generation part 64, gray-scale amplifiers AMP0 to AMP63 are provided which have a plurality of resistors R0 to R63 and resistively divide a voltage of a power source Vs to generate a plurality of grayscale reference voltages V0 to V63 corresponding to the gray-scale number of display data and supply respective gray scale reference voltages to a digital-analog converter DAC 65 in accordance with their driving capabilities, and driving capabilities of grayscale amplifiers corresponding to intermediate gray levels in respective grayscale amplifiers AMP0 to AMP63 are set to values lower than those of grayscale amplifiers corresponding to the lowest gray level and the highest gray level.
