PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of improving adhesion strength of a resin molding part. SOLUTION: The secondary battery is provided with a can 120 to house an electrode assembly 122, a cap plate 131 to seal the upper end opening part of the can 120, an electrode terminal 132 to be inserted with a gasket in the state of inclusion in a terminal through hole part formed in the cap plate 131, and a protection circuit substrate 150 joined by a resin molding part 160 of molded resin at the upper part of the cap plate 131.
