PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal apparatus capable of preventing erroneous transmission or the like, by preventing the input of data strings of a wrong FAX number. SOLUTION: A facsimile machine 1 accepts the input of a numeral string of an opposite-party FAX number (ST1), then instructs the input of a numeral string formed by reversely arranging the numeral string of the received FAX number from its tail end (ST2), and accepts the input of the numeral string arranged in reverse (ST3). Then, the machine checks the previously input numeral string of the FAX number against the later input numeral string (ST5). As a result of the checking, if the arrangement of the later input numeral string exactly matches the numeral string, formed by reversely arranging the previously input numeral string of the FAX number from its tail end, facsimile transmission operation is permitted (ST6); but if there is no match facsimile transmission is not permitted (ST7).
