PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driver from driving car by looking only at confirmation assist equipment. SOLUTION: A face direction detecting part 101 detects the direction of the face of the driver on the basis of the face image of the driver photographed by a camera. When a state detecting part 103 detects that the driver's face continuously faces a car navigation system or a room mirror for a prescribed period when a vehicle is set to a gear for a backward direction, a display control part 104 and a sound output control part 105 controls the car navigation system or the room mirror and the sound outputting part so as to give the driver a warning to directly look at the rear of the vehicle for confirmation.
