PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing wool paper sheet by carrying out a papermaking in such a condition that wool fibers are homogeneously dispersed without the mutual entanglement of the wool fibers to effect homogeneously blending the wool fibers, and to provide such wool paper sheet free of pills and fiber loss and excellent in decorativeness as an interior. SOLUTION: The improved wool paper sheet is obtained by carrying out papermaking using a dispersion prepared by dispersing wool fibers and binder fibers in water. The method for producing the wool paper sheet incorporates 100 pts.wt. of the dispersion with 15-90 pts.wt. of the wool fibers and 0.5-50 pts.wt. of the binder fibers. In the wool paper sheet thus obtained, part or the whole of the cuticle component of the surface layer of the wool fibers is removed by oxidation treatment of the wool fibers and the fiber length of the wool fibers is 2 cm or shorter.
