PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle and method for applying a sealing agent to the clad end of a steel plate which enable a low cost, and excellent workability and productivity. SOLUTION: A sealing device for applying the sealing agent to the clad end where steel plates are overlapped each other to be welded comprises a sealing gun, and a coating nozzle 13 connected to the tip end of the sealing gun. A sealing agent discharge port 14 of which the cross section is formed in an almost U or V shape is opened at the tip end of the coating nozzle 13. A recessed groove 15 extending along the longitudinal axis of the coating nozzle 13 is formed on the outer periphery of the tip end corresponding to the almost U or V-shaped recess of the sealing agent discharge port 14.
