<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a prompt and sufficient temperature rise of an exhaust gas purification device (DPF) at the time of regenerating the DPF in a hybrid vehicle provided with an engine and a motor. <P>SOLUTION: Before regenerating the DPF (t0-), an amount of battery charge SOC is decreased by increasing the motor output according to the amount of accumulated PM in the DPF. At the time of starting regenerating the DPF (t1-), by increasing the engine output and driving the motor, high load electric generation operation of the engine is performed, so as to increase the exhaust gas temperature.
