<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength multiplexing optical communication apparatus, whereby relaying apparatuses in module design can be replaced efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: In the wavelength multiplexing optical communication apparatus that includes: first to fourth transponder modules 11, 12, 13, 14 for relaying optical signals from an external device, an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer 10, and a housing 1a, with each of the transponder modules 11, 12, 13, 14 including first to third adaptors 11a, 11b, 11c for connection to the external device and the optical multiplexer/demultiplexer 10 via an optical fiber cable 1b, the optical multiplexer/demultiplexer 10 includes fourth and sixth adaptors 10a, 10b, 10c for connection to the external device and each of the transponder modules 11, 12, 13, 14; and the transponder modules 11, 12, 13, 14 and the optical multiplexer/demultiplexer 10 are housed in the housing 1a so that the adaptors 11a, 11b, 11c are located side by side at the outside of the housing 1a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
