MPLS TRANSFER METHOD, MPLS ROUTER, AND AREA BOUNDARY ROUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce LSPs in number in a network as a whole when MPLS is applied to a large-scale network.

SOLUTION: A transmission source MPLS edge router (MPLS router 4A) transmits a packet together with a label that indicates a destination MPLS edge router (MPLS router 4C) as the destination edge router of the packet (1), and another label that indicates domains which the packet passes through until it reaches to the destination MPLS edge router (2); a domain boundary MPLS router (MPLS router 4D) refers to the labels attached to the received packet, and transfers the packet to a following transfer destination domain; and a domain boundary MPLS router (MPLS router 4E) refers to the labels attached to the received packet, selects an LSP 5 established between the MPLS router 4E and a destination MPLS edge router (MPLS router 4C), and transfers the packet.
