NAVIGATOR AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigator and a navigation system capable of improving safety.

SOLUTION: The navigation system 1 is provided with both the navigator 10 for performing route guidance to destinations and an ETC onboard device 20 capable of paying tolls by ETC by mounting an ETC card 30. The system 1 performs guidance on travel lanes of toll roads having ETC gates compatible with ETC according to the presence or absence of an ETC card 30 and general gates not compatible with ETC. Further, the system is provided with both a card information reading part 26 for reading the card number of the ETC card 30 and a determination part for determining whether the ETC card 30 has expired or not, and performs guidance on a travel lane of an ETC gate when the ETC card 30 has not expired and on a travel lane of a non-ETC gate when the ETC card 30 has expired.
