PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel-supporting device for a vehicle having high reliability, by realizing very precise estimation of dangerousness, which conforms to various traveling environments. SOLUTION: An image ahead of a vehicle is picked up with an image pickup means, and the image data are divided into a road area, a road-side zone area and an upper sky area (S1). Dangerousness is determined for each divided area from a viewpoint which conforms to each area (S2-S10). Then, comprehensive dangerousness is determined by adding weighting to each determined dangerousness by using a weighting coefficient which conforms to the viewpoint (S11), and a crew is informed of the danger based on the determined comprehensive dangerousness (S12).
