PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile rack system capable of preventing the contact of mobile racks with one another without impairing working efficiency. SOLUTION: When inputting a moving command to a succeeding mobile rack at a time t1, a control panel of the succeeding mobile rack monitors the on/off-state of an adjacent discriminating sensor arranged in the moving direction, and stands by until a preset time T2 passes from a time t2, when discriminating that an interval with the succeeding mobile rack becomes larger than a predetermined adjacent distance after a preceding mobile rack starts the movement by turning off the adjacent discriminating sensor at the time t2. At a time t4 of passing the preset time T2 from the time t2, the control panel of the succeeding mobile rack determines that a sufficient interval is formed between the preceding mobile rack and the succeeding rack, and outputs the indication of starting to respective traveling motors of the succeeding mobile rack, and a moving speed of the succeeding mobile rack reaches a predetermined high speed at a time t5.
