PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooler for a drinking water container in a drinking water server capable of efficiently cooling drinking water in a drinking water container body in a short time and in particular capable of pouring cooled water in a short time after the replacement of the drinking water container body. SOLUTION: A boxlike case 7 containing a flexible bag 6 has a circulation path 10 for cold air Q formed between the inner wall surface of the case 7 and the bag 6, also a notch 7a formed on part of a side face to allow a spout 5 of the bag 6 to protrude, a notched hole 7b where the bottom of the bag 6 is exposed formed on part of the bottom, and a cold air vent hole 7c communicating with the path 10a formed backward on the upper surface.
