PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive feeding of documents relative to a shape sorting part and to certainly shape-sort the documents. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a hopper conveyor 2 for feeding a plurality of sheets of documents P; a distribution mechanism 14 for distributing the documents P fed by this hopper conveyor 2; and a thickness sorting part 3 for receiving/conveying the documents P distributed by this distribution mechanism 14 and sorting the shapes.
