PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a listener to listen to a high-quality reproduced sound while providing natural sound image localization to the listener. SOLUTION: An electro-acoustic converter comprises a speaker unit 7L attached to a case section 4L worn at a prescribed position of the head of the listener, and disposed at a prescribed distance from the entrance of the external auditory canal of the listener when the case section 4L is worn to the head of the listener, a tubular duct 8L extended so as to guide the sound generated at the case section 4L to around the entrance of the external auditory canal of the listener, and a microphone MF1L for binaural recording attached in the vicinity of the speaker unit 7L. Since sound from a sound source can be collected and binaurally recorded by using the microphone MF1L for binaural recording attached in the vicinity of the speaker unit 7L whereby the listener actually listens to reproduced sound, sound at an adequate level can be listened to by the listener via the tubular duct 8L, while giving furthermore natural sound image localization to the reproduced sound in comparison with prior arts.
