INK-JET INK, METHOD OF INK-JET RECORDING, INK CARTRIDGE, INK SET, AND METHOD OF FORMING IMAGE

An ink-jet ink which can form an image having high non-bleeding properties and inhibited from bronzing. The ink-jet ink is used in combination with a pigment ink. The ink-jet ink is characterized in that: it comprises a colorant, a polyvalent metal, and one or more water-soluble organic solvents; the colorant comprises a compound represented by the following general formula (I); the content of the polyvalent metal (mol/g) is 2.0×10<SUP>-6</SUP> to 4.0×10<SUP>-4</SUP> mol/g; the total content of the water-soluble organic solvents (mass%) is 25.0 mass% or higher based on the whole ink; and when the ink-jet ink is prepared so as to have a colorant concentration of 0.5 mass% and is analyzed by small-angle X-ray scattering, it has a distribution of dispersed-molecular-aggregate distances in which the value, d<SUB>75</SUB>, of the dispersed-aggregate distances corresponding to 75% of all aggregates is 12.60 nm or less.
