An apparatus and a method for controlling an actuator for a vehicle are provided to allow the maximum speed for controlling the actuator to be lower in a following operation than in a normal operation. In an apparatus(1) for controlling an actuator(3) for a vehicle, the actuator includes a mechanical stop portion(4). The actuator can be operated toward the stop portion by a drive unit(2) or far away from the stop portion. The maximum speed for operating the actuator toward the stop portion in the following operation is reduced. In the following operation, the apparatus can be re-set by a driver's request, and the apparatus does not generate a control signal for the drive unit. |
