<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide USB connection equipment capable of improving connection possibility of the other USB connection equipment connected to a USB port of a host device. <P>SOLUTION: A laser beam printer 101 has: a formatter 102 performing image processing; a power source unit 104 supplying power to the formatter 102 or the like; a USB connector 105; and a power source changeover switch 106. The formatter 102 has a USB controller 107, a USB device ID-ROM 108, and a controller 109. A USB connector 105 is connected to a USB port of a host PC through a USB interface circuit 111. A printer 101 operates in a self power mode for a normal operation mode, and the controller 109 changes a USB device ID value acquired from the USB device ID-ROM 108 from 100-300 mmA into 0 mmA when operating in the self power mode even in a sleep operation mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
