<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automotive door handle device provided with a means of preventing a door from being opened due to impact acceleration occurring at the time of a lateral collision or the like, wherein the door handle device is comprised of a stopper member for positively stopping movement of the handle in an opening direction. <P>SOLUTION: The automotive door handle device is formed of: the handle 3 which moves between a door closing position and a door opening position; a lever 4 which is rotated from a standby position to a lock canceling position in interlock with operation of the handle 3 from the door closing position to the door opening position, to thereby unlock a door locking mechanism; and the stopper member 5 which is rotatably arranged on a bracket 2, moves between a standby position that does not interfere with an engaging portion 3a of the handle 3 and an interfering position that interferes with the engaging portion 3a, and is energized toward the standby position. When impact acceleration in a direction that moves the handle 3 from the door closing position to the door opening position, is input to a door main body, the stopper member 5 moves from the standby position to the interfering position against energizing force of a spring due to the impact acceleration, to thereby inhibit the lever 4 from moving to the lock canceling position. Herein the door handle device has a cushioning member 12 arranged on an opposite-side rotation inhibiting portion 2a against which a stopper-side rotation inhibiting portion of the stopper member 5 collides when assuming the interfering position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
