CONTACT DETECTOR, DOOR HANDLE DEVICE THEREWITH AND SMART ENTRY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact detector having a flexible structure wherein a sufficient detection sensitivity can be obtained even with a light touch and also a door-handle device equipped with it for detecting an opening/closing operation.

SOLUTION: The contact detector is composed of a support means 8 having a movable part 8c which is displaced when contacted, a cable-shaped piezoelectric sensor 4 a part of which is supported by the support means 8 and which deforms in conjunction with the displacement of the movable part 8c, and also a detection means 5 for signal-processing of the output from the cable-shaped piezoelectric sensor 4. The cable-shaped piezoelectric sensor 4 has bent parts 4a for forming a plurality of concurrent-deformation parts while the concurrent-deformation parts deform in conjunction with the movable part 8c so as to detect the contact.
