PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dome diaphragm which has a voice coil arranged in a recess and which achieves reduction in distortion in a signal caused by deflection or like of the recess and has an improved acoustic characteristic. SOLUTION: A speaker 100 is provided with the dome diaphragm 5, which includes: a dome shaped part 51; an edge shaped part 52 formed in an outer circumferential side of the dome shaped part 51; the recess 53 formed between the dome shaped part 51 and the edge shaped part 52 and whose cross-section is U-shaped for housing a voice coil 6; and a reinforcing section 7 for reinforcing an opening 535 of the recess 53 or the vicinity of the opening 535, and since the reinforcing section 7 and the dome shaped part 51 are integrally formed, vibration along a diametrical direction around, e.g. the opening 535 of the recess 53 can be reduced. Thus, distortion of an acoustic signal and an electric signal or the like caused by deflection or the like of the recess occurring in prior arts can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
