PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot mounting structure having stable and good sealing performance independently of the dimensional-accuracy combination of a seal groove of a shaft, the inner diameter face of a small diameter portion of a boot and a boot band (a boot clamp). SOLUTION: The boot mounting structure comprises the shaft 9 connected to the inside joint member of a constant velocity universal joint, and the boot 1 for the constant velocity universal joint. On the outer peripheral face of a boot mounting portion 22 of the shaft 9, an elastic body 21 is provided whose hardness is lower than the hardness of the boot 1. A shaft mounting portion 11 of the boot 1 is externally fitted thereto via the elastic body 21.
