PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flow out of fluid from the upstream side when separating screens and magnets from the inside of a strainer body. SOLUTION: This strainer apparatus is provided with strainer body 2, screens 3 and rod-like magnets 4. A valve seat 5 is formed at a part in the strainer body 2 where a tip end of the magnet 4 is located, a valve element 6 stopping flow-in of fluid to a screen mounting part 2C is provided while abutting on the valve seat 5, and a valve element opening/closing means K is provided between the valve element 6 and magnet 4, separating the valve element 6 from the valve seat 5, by inserting the screen 3 and magnets 4 into the screen mounting part 2C.
