PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counting device, a counting method and a counting system, capable of continuing a counting process for a prescribed period of time after main power supply is shut off. SOLUTION: The counting device has a ball box setting stand shutter 253 to open/close an opening 252 for guiding pachinko balls to a detection sensor 305. If the power to the counting device 23 is shut off, the ball box setting stand shutter 253 is closed to block pachinko balls flowing from the opening 252, and the counting of the pachinko balls present in a downflow passage between the opening 252 and the detection sensor 305 can be continued.
