MODULE FOR SELECTING PSF, APPARATUS FOR DIGITAL AUTO FOCUSING, AND METHOD FOR SELECTING PSF

A PSP selection module, an apparatus for adjusting a digital automatic focus, and a PSP selection method are provided to solve the problem about PSP estimating algorithm in a digital automatic focus adjusting apparatus employed for a camera using a fan focus scheme. A test image extracting part(310) extracts a test image from an input image. A representative edge extracting part(323) extracts a representative edge, which includes edge area information for a test image, from the test image extracting part. A test image recovering part includes a plurality of CLS image recovering filters by using a plurality of point spread functions(PSF). The test image recovering part recovers the test image into a plurality of recovered test images through CLS image recovering filters. The test image recovering part obtains quality information for the recovered test images by using edge information area obtained from the representative edge extracting part. The PSP selector selects a PSP corresponding to a test image having the highest quality based on the quality information according to the recovered test images.
