<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient time slot and beam assignment method, in a code division multiple access (CDMA) communications system. <P>SOLUTION: One embodiment is a method for assigning time slots in slotted code division multiple access communications systems having an adaptive array. The method comprises steps of, for each time slot, determining the antenna patterns and associated antenna gains; for each time slot, determining a transmit power associated with each user using the determined associated antenna gains; iteratively repeating the determining antenna patterns and the determining transmit power steps; and selecting a slot for assignment having a lowest aggregate interference determined by using the determined transmit power for each slot. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
